Reverend Beth Toler, Th.D., LMFT

Name: Beth Toler
Atlantic Region Executive Committee Member Role: Leadership Development Chair
Importance of AAPC: “AAPC has evolved in its importance for me. After graduate school, AAPC offered me a space for conversation and a community who shared, valued, and understood my pastoral and theological perspective for clinical practice and scholarship. As I moved from full time clinical practice to teaching, AAPC has continued to be an important community for conversation and a vital place for my professional development. I have been actively offered a space of hospitality; a place to present, share ideas, make new friends and colleagues, and collaboratively develop the future of pastoral counseling in this community and beyond.”
Biography: Reverend Beth Toler, Th.D., LMFT, is Assistant Professor, Supervisor, and Clinical Program Coordinator in Neumann University’s MS degree program in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In addition to her teaching, supervisory, and academic experience, Beth is an active clinician in private practice and holds extensive practical experience in various ministry and mental health settings. Her current scholarly focus is on the constructive and de-constructive theological activity inherent in integrating spirituality into the counseling process and exploring the connected methodological issues and concerns.
